THE WEAVER ALL-AMERICAN BEE (ITALIAN BREED)
is an Italian strain that we have been improving for 86 years. Only superior performers are selected to become breeders. In general, the darker bees have shown the best traits, so our bees are not yellow but tend to be somewhat dark and quite variable in color. They tend to keep an open brood nest, as opposed to the Buckfast's tendency to put more honey down. Our All-Americans are also showing a high resistance to tracheal mites. They are excellent honey producers and are the preferred breed for the Southern States as well as the desert Southwest and California. Read more about All-American bees here.

We use wooden queen cages. For larger shipments our queens are available in "Battery Boxes" of 56 or 104 Queens are are shipped in plastic cages.

QUEENS are available from the last week in March until the end of October. We normally ship by PRIORITY MAIL, but for even faster service, UPS is also available.

For Queen shipments we book orders in advance, send a confirming bill, and require payment in full before shipment. Orders to be split into smaller shipments will qualify for the quantity price break if the order is placed and paid for at one time.
