Before he began his long career as a breeder and producer of superior queen honey bees in 1946 Roy S. Weaver Jr. had been an oil tool engineer, and had served in the army for more than four years. Now he has written a light-hearted account of his experiences during World War Two.

At just over 100 pages Roy's book is an easy to read story told in his own words. He has the happy facility of remembering the good and funny things which happened, but a very poor collection of the bad things. The result is a little fun-to-read book that will both entertain and enlighten you.
