One-story Buckfast established colony.
A fully established colony installed in our Standard Hive Kit, division board feeder, and 9 frames. These established colonies have newly drawn comb and a first year queen. Established colonies are all Weaver Buckfast bees and queens, raised in our Apiaries in The Brazos Valley
Please note that the Established Colony does not include tools such as smoker, hive tool, and brush or protective gear such as gloves, bee suit/jacket, or hat and veil.
Weaver Buckfast queens are mite tolerant and bred in our treatment free nucs in The Brazos Valley as they have been for generations.
By following the basic principles first developed by Brother Adam of Buckfast Abbey, we select our breeding queens carefully resulting in bees that are known for their gentleness, generous laying patterns, and abundant honey production. Read more about Buckfast bees here.
